Mrs. Bonnie Wilson Stanford, age 71, of Lyons, died Thursday, June 26, 2025, at her home after sudden illness. She was a native of Toombs County, living in Lyons most of her life, and she was a 1971 graduate of Lyons Senior High School. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Lyons Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed yard sales, crafting, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and pageants. She is preceded in death by a son, Rusty Manville; her father, Ralph Wilson; and brother, Dewey Batton.
Her family includes two children, Missy Dixon and husband Josh of Johnson Corner, and Dexter Stanford and wife Kristen of Uvalda; mother, Ruth Fender Wilson of Lyons, five grandchildren, Kinsleigh Dixon, Roper Dixon, Oaklyn Stanford, Daxton Stanford, and Kenni Reign Dixon; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral service will be Saturday afternoon, June 28th, 2025, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with her cousin, Pastor Rick Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Hardens Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
