Mr. Bobby D. Brigman, age 89, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at his home after a brief illness. He was a native of Barnardsville, North Carolina and lived there until he joined the U.S. Navy, serving four years. He was a welder and fabricator, working at nuclear power plants and living in North Carolina, Florida, and Michigan, and has made Vidalia home since 1982. He was owner of B&H Welding in Lyons for several years. He was a member of Vidalia Masonic Lodge #330 and Alee Shrine in Savannah. He was a former member and deacon of Cross Timbers Baptist Church in Vidalia and a member of Higgston Baptist Church. He was an expert wine maker, and enjoyed collecting classic cars, vegetable gardening, and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by a son, Bobby Brooks Brigman; parents, Grover Brigman and Nancy Jenkins Brigman; and was the last of fourteen siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Editha Thompson Brigman; four children, Ronald Brigman of Ashville, North Carolina, Tina Clark Williamson and husband Paul of the Kibbee Community, Gina Clark Thigpen and husband Danny of the Bear Creek Community, and Rhynea Brigman Corbin and husband Jon of Canton, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Whitley Ledford and husband Wil, Katie Cheshire and husband Stacy, Georgia Shay Peebles and husband Tyler, Danielle McDonald and husband Jason, Blake Latta and wife Jada, Cory Brigman and wife Becca, and Rilah Brigman; eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
The funeral service will be Saturday afternoon, October 4th, 2025, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Murray Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens with military honors.
