Mr. Bobby Ford, age 56, of Lyons, died Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, after a sudden illness. He was a native of Toombs County, lived most of his life there, and he worked with the Toombs County Road Department for thirty years. He was of the Baptist faith and in his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, grilling and Georgia football. He especially loved spending time with his family, friends and grandbabies. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his son, Patrick Trey Ford; step-father, Daniel Beckworth; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Talmadge and Ellen Louise Turner.
His family includes the love of his life of forty years, Tammie Turner Ford of Lyons; son, Levi Ford and Natasha of Lyons; special sons, Ethan Collins and wife Carly of Vidalia and Hank White of Soperton; special daughter, Bailey Dixon of Lyons; mother, Mary Ann Johnson Beckworth of Lyons; father and step-mother, William Floyd Ford Jr.( Diane) of Baxley; four brothers, Jeffery Ford and fiancé Hailey Medders of Surrency, Scott Ford of Lyons, Gary Ford and James Beckworth both of Five Points; two sisters, Glenda Beasley and husband Eric of Soperton and Barbara Conway and husband Michael of North Zulch, Texas; sister-in-law, Christine Turner and Bobby Sinclair of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren, Kyleigh, Maddie, Gage, Parker, Wyatt, Ivy, and Ember; a special grandson, Raylen; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who were like family.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
The funeral service will be Monday afternoon, July 22nd, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Mount Zion Cemetery.
