Betty (Steptoe) Meeks

Mrs. Betty Steptoe Meeks, age 87 of Vidalia, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018, in Meadows Health in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  She was a lifelong resident of Vidalia, and was Account Manager at Rivers Heating and Air.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh T. Meeks, Sr.; and her parents, William Steptoe and Alice Williams Steptoe.

Mrs. Meeks is survived by one son, Hugh Ted Meeks, Jr. and wife Barbara of Collins; one granddaughter, Amanda Nicole Meeks of Moultrie; one sister, Dot Burns of Soperton; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, August 2nd at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Don Moye officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
