Barbara Jean (Miller) Phillips

Barbara Jean Miller Phillips, age 67, of Vidalia, died Friday, October 8, 2021, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after a sudden illness.  She was born in Lyons, and grew up there and Jeff Davis County.  She was a homemaker, and formerly attended the Lyons Church of God.  She enjoyed sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Thomas Miller, Sr. and Mary Lou Hutto Miller; a granddaughter, Tylie Mae Phillips; and seven siblings, Joyce Ann Bryant, Mildred Sue Harvey, Jeanette Trull, Pearline Trull, Shirley Cowart, Mattie Lou Miller, and Thomas Miller, Jr.

Her family includes two sons, Scott W. Phillips and Jason Colbert of Vidalia, and Chris Phillips of the Racket Town Community; six grandchildren, Matthew Phillips, Olivia Phillips, McKinnley Phillips, Layten Phillips, Carson Colbert, and Conner Colbert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be Tuesday, October 12th, at 4:00 p.m. at the Joe Miller Cemetery near Lothair with Vicki Roberson officiating.
