Audrey Williamson

Mrs. Mae “Audrey” Joyce Williamson, age 88, of Vidalia, died Friday, April 10, 2026, at her home after a brief illness. She was a native of Montgomery County and had lived in Vidalia for the past 30 years. She was a graduate of Montgomery County High School and was a homemaker. Audrey was a member of Higgston Baptist Church and she enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, but she especially loved taking care of her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Williamson; an infant daughter; parents, Herman Joyce and Willie Mae O’Conner Joyce; two brothers, Troy Joyce and Roy Gene Joyce; and son-in-law, Elroy Kahanek.

Mrs. Williamson is survived by three children, Cindy Williamson Kahanek of Vidalia, Tim Williamson and wife Debbie of Higgston, and Jeffrey Williamson of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Justin Williamson and wife Melissa, Ailey Williamson Howell and husband David, all of Higgston, Cole Williamson and Zachary Williamson, both of Vidalia; one great-grandson, Jackson Earl Williamson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday morning, April 17, 2026, at 11:00 at Higgston Baptist Church with Pastor Murray Ward officiating.

The family will receive friends at Higgston Baptist Church on Friday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
