Audrey (Register) Dixon

Mrs. Audrey Register Dixon, age 83, of Lyons, died Monday, September 11, 2023, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia.  She was born in Orlando, Florida, living in Lake City, Florida, and later to Folkston before moving to Lyons in 1954.  She and her husband were owners of Dixon Farms for many years, she was a CNA at Glenvue Nursing Home in Glennville for ten years, and she attended Marvin Church.  She enjoyed vegetable and flowers gardening, canning and was a caregiver.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim Register and Julie Willis Register; one sister, Grace Register Oliver; three brothers, James Register, Donald Register, and Ralph Register; and son-in-law, Lumawig Dr. “Lou” Munsayac.

Her family includes her husband, Elliott Dixon of Lyons; four children, Mike Dixon of Lyons, Karen Dixon Kersey of Reidsville, Teresa Dixon Carroll and husband Jim of Lyons, and Lisa Dixon Munsayac of Vidalia; two sisters, Essie Register Wheeler of Brunswick, and Martha Register Spikes of Reidsville; ten grandchildren, Jason Dixon, Amy Mann, Lacey Herrington, John Carroll, Jaden Carroll, Jimma Carroll, Cory Kirkley, Mason Ussery, Jada Ussery, and Lou Munsayac; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Marvin Church on Wednesday afternoon, September 13th, from 1:00 until just prior to the funeral service at 2:00 with Pastor Michael Kennedy officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
