Archie L. Emanuel

Mr. Archie L. Emanuel, age 75, of Lyons, died Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Memorial Health in Savannah after a brief illness. He was born in North Carolina, grew up in Cobbtown and has made Lyons his home since 1969. He was a truck driver for many years; Archie could do most anything, he was a mechanic, logger, and heavy equipment operator. He attended Lyons Free Will Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda O’Neal Emanuel; parents, David Archie Emanuel and Bertha Mae McGee Padgett; and two brothers, Erman Padgett and David Junior Emanuel.

Mr. Emanuel is survived four siblings, Allen Emanuel and wife Ruth of Mize, Mississippi, Robert Emanuel and wife Sharon, Christie Padgett Cregg and husband Keith, all of Hardeeville, South Carolina, and Jim Padgett of Lyons; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Collins Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
