Mrs. April Usher Calhoun, age 56, of Lyons, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at her home after a sudden illness. She was a lifelong resident of Lyons, a home maker, and was a member of New Branch United Methodist Church and the Jaycee’s. She worked at Partin Park for thirty-two years and loved making an impact and spending time with children in the community as well as being a substitute teacher. She enjoyed fishing, taking road trips, and being with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wade Usher and Dovie Usher Eiland; and two brothers, Don Usher and Wendell Usher.

Mrs. Calhoun is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, Dewayne Calhoun; two daughters, Jessica Calhoun and Holly Calhoun all of Lyons; one sister, Cathy Usher Allen and husband Scott of Lyons; three brothers, Gary Usher and wife Suzanne of Glenwood, Randy Usher and wife Kaye of New Branch Community, and David Usher and wife Cheryl of Lyons; five grandchildren, Trayvone Harris, Cameron Harris, Jaynae Calhoun, Kaleigha Bellevue, and Aprella Bellevue.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 4th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Randy Callahan and Reverend Brian Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
