Anne Willis Hand, age 65, of Uvalda, died Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was born in Orlando, Florida, lived in Winter Haven, Florida, and then moved to Uvalda in 1966 before moving to Vidalia three years ago. She was a 1975 graduate of Toombs Central School and a graduate of Swainsboro Technical College. She was a licensed cosmetologist and was self-employed. She attended Cedar Crossing Church of God and enjoyed dancing, swimming and being with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Miller Eugene Willis and Laura Margaret Kight Willis.
Her family includes two children, Lenard Willis and wife Dominque of Alto and Will Dixon of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Slade, Tyler, Urijah and Jabari; two brothers, Glenn Willis, and Alan Willis and wife Lamonica, all of Uvalda; one sister, Susan Willis Johnson and husband Mike of Uvalda; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Sunday, July 31st, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral with Pastor Melvin Kramer and Pastor Don Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Crossing Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
