Mrs. Ann Blaxton Davis, age 79, of the Taylor Springs Community, died Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, following an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County and a graduate of Montgomery County High School, class of 1962. Mrs. Davis worked as an administrative assistant for thirty years at J.D. Dickerson Primary School in Vidalia. She was a former member of Vidalia Church of God and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and quietly helping others. She is preceded in death by her son, Brittan Duel “Britt” Davis; parents, William Mack Blaxton and Ethel Emogene Beckum Blaxton; one sister, Alva Mae Blaxton Mosley; and three brothers, Joe Blaxton, Wilbur Blaxton, and Thermon Blaxton.
Her family includes her husband of sixty years, Duel Davis of Taylor Springs; one brother, Larry Blaxton and wife Ann of Macon; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon October 17th, from 1:00 until just prior to the funeral service at 3:00 with Mr. Roy Mimbs officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
