Anastasia "Pat" Clark Obituary

Mrs. Anastasia “Pat” Hatten Clark, age 84, of Mt. Vernon, died Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after a brief illness. She was born on November 5, 1941, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Shelton Erwin Hatten and Hazel Johnson Hatten. She grew up in Lumber City, McRae-Helena, and Scotland. She lived in Telfair County before moving to Jeffersonville and Gray for many years before making Mt. Vernon her home in 1994. She was a 1960 graduate of Telfair County School and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Glenwood.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant brother, Shelly Hatten; and an infant sister, Randy Cheryl Hatten.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Ernest A. Clark of Mt. Vernon; three stepdaughters, Deborah F. Clark of Jemison, Alabama, Audrey A. Clark of Florida, and Rhonda A. Clark Woodall of Clanton, Alabama; one sister, Toni Hatten Strom of St. Simons Island; two brothers, Shelton “Mickey” Hatten, Jr. and wife Joan of Baxley, and Johnny D. Hatten and wife Cathy of Enterprise, Alabama; and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday afternoon, June 4th, 2026, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Donnie Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Edge Memorial Gardens in Glenwood.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 1:30 until just prior to the service.
