Allen Gay

Mr. Allen Gay, age 66, of the Blue Ridge Community, died Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at his home after a sudden illness.  He was a native of Savannah and moved to Toombs County in Blue Ridge Community in 1966.  He attended Lyons Senior High School, and worked at Piggly Wiggly in Lyons, Atlantic Wood, and most of his life was a self-employed builder and carpenter.  He formerly attended Marietta Free Will Baptist Church.  Allen was happiest spending time at the Ohoopee River with his Dog Red.  He is preceded in death by his father, Roger William Gay; brother, Roger Dale Gay; and an uncle, John L. Gay.

His family includes two daughters, Kendra Lynn Gay Harbuck and husband Raymond of Mt. Vernon, and Heather Adams of Toombs County; four grandchildren, Declan William Harbuck, Aidan James Harbuck, (USMC) Ethan Adams, and Payton Adams; mother, Frankie Opal Padgett Gay, four siblings, Donny Ray Gay and wife Becky, Tiffany Dewayne Gay and wife Hilda, all of Blue Ride, Gweynnera Gay Grimes and husband Mitchell of Lyons, and Alex LeGene Gay of Blue Ridge; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Allen will be later at the Ohoopee River.
