Alfonzo "Poncho" Salas

Mr. Alfonzo “Poncho” Salas, age 73, of Lyons, died Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at his home after a sudden illness.  He was a native of Mexico and had lived in Lyons for more than thirty years.  He was a farm laborer working for several local farmers.  He was Catholic by faith.

His family includes two sons, Skylar Beckum and Jedidiah Beckum, both of Statesboro; and other family, Carmen Hernandez and Toby Hernandez and their children.

There will be no services.

Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home of Vidalia is in charge of arrangements.
