Mr. Alan G. Anderson, age 82, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, November 20, 2019, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after a brief illness. He was a native of Scott City, Kansas, a 1955 graduate of Scott City High School, and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served four years. He was in the automotive industry most of his life and at one time owned five locations of AutoCool in the San Francisco Bay area. Alan was an avid golfer, he enjoyed walking, and boat racing where he was a technical inspector for many years for boat compliance. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emanuel Anderson and Neva Deng Anderson; one brother, Jerry Anderson; and an infant sister.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Uvonne Reaves Anderson of Vidalia; three children, Cindy Arnone and husband Kenny, Jerry Anderson and wife Jenny, all of San Jose, California, and Tim Anderson of California; two step-children, Ali Nabulsi and Omar Nabulsi and wife Sara, all of Atlanta; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
