Mr. Alan Michael Collins, age 38, of Santa Claus, died Wednesday, November 20, 2024, as a result of a work related accident at his home. He was a native of Toombs County where he lived most of his life, living in North Pole, Alaska and moved to Santa Claus five years ago. He was a 2004 graduate of Vidalia High School and was a diesel and heavy equipment mechanic most of his life. Alan's biggest enjoyment in life was his children and the time spent with them.
His family includes his wife, Brandi E. Collins; three children, Jarrett Randon Reaves, Andrew Michael Collins, and Landon Mark Collins, all of Santa Claus; mother, Kathy Jones and “Bear” Johnson of the McGregor Community; father, Robert Michael Collins of Cobbtown; paternal grandmother, Betty Curl Brown and husband Ray of Cobbtown; two brothers, Christopher Collins and wife Crystal of Tifton, and Tyler Collins of Cobbtown; one sister, Whitney Downie and husband Gordon of Vidalia; father-in-law, Chris Hinson and Jennifer; brother-in-law, Matt Hinson and wife Kelly, all of Santa Claus; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and one niece.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
The funeral service will be Monday morning, November 25th, 2024, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Cameron Kennison officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
