William Larry Youngblood

William Larry Youngblood, age 71, of Byron, Ga. died Sunday, April 28, 2019, at his home after a brief illness. Larry graduated in 1966 from Vidalia High School and attended Lee College in Cleveland, Tennessee.  Larry joined the Navy in 1967 and was honorably discharged in 1970 where he returned home to Georgia.  He lived most of his life in Marietta where he enjoyed life as a successful insurance agent for over forty years.  He attended Mt. Paran Church of God in Marietta.  Larry recently moved to Byron, GA. to be closer to his family.  Larry was preceded in death by his parents; Rev. Brooks Youngblood and Ruby L. Youngblood.

Larry is survived by a sister, Darlene Youngblood Tate and husband Sonny of Byron; one niece, Kimberly Harrell Mechwart and husband Kevin; daughter, Hayden of Cumming; one nephew, Mack Tate and wife Erin; son, Jacob of Woodstock; best friend Marsha Whepley of Marietta; daughter Stephanie Robson of Cheverly, Maryland. 

Services will be held on Thursday, May 9th at 3:00 p.m. in the Georgia National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, New York, NY.
