William Panick Obituary

Mr. William E. Panick, age 66, of Oak Park, died Sunday, September 22, 2019, at his home, after a sudden illness.  He was a native of Savannah, and he and his family moved to Lyons in 1963.  He was a 1970 graduate of Lyons Senior High School and soon after entered the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was stationed in Germany.  He was a pipefitter for many years and traveled to numerous nuclear power plants around the country.  He was Baptist by faith and enjoyed raising bulldogs, working on cars, and spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Lynn Panick and Annie Bell Coursey Panick.

Mr. Panick is survived by two children, Robby Panick of Wrightsville, and Kelly Panick of Oak Park; one sister, Jenny Panick Harkins of Marietta; one brother, Charles Panick of Cummings; four grandchildren, Cameron Panick, Annie Panick, Colton Froehbrodt and Marley Panick; and one niece and one nephew.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 25th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Wiggins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lyons City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
