Tallahassee, Florida

Mr. Tony A. Smith, age 60, of Tallahassee, Florida died Monday, October 8, 2018, in the Tallahassee Memorial Medical Center, after a brief illness.  He was a native of Homestead, Florida and lived in the Florida panhandle before moving to Tallahassee thirty-five years ago. Tony worked as an Industrial Water Technician at Tallahassee Memorial Medical Center and served in the United States Army.  He was Baptist by faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching football.  He was preceded in death by his parents, T.M. and Willene O’Neal Smith.

Tony is survived by his former wife, Elizabeth Garland Smith; two children, Thomas T. Smith and Christina Smith all of Manlius, Illinois; one sister, Teresa Walker of Uvalda; one brother, Melton Smith of Thomasville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 13th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Elemer Caraway officiating.  Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
