Cedar Crossing,

Mrs. Tiny Brantley Wooten, age 88, of the Cedar Crossing Community, died Saturday, June 10, 2017, in Meadows Health and Rehabilitation, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Cedar Crossing, living in Davenport, Florida for many years, and returned to Toombs County in 1967.  She retired as a supervisor from Toombs County Manufacturing after many years.  She was a charter member of the Cobb Creek Baptist Church, and enjoyed quilting and gardening.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Wooten; a son, Sam Wooten; parents, Sam and Hallie Brantley; four sisters, Ruth, Frankie, Janet, and Eula; and five brothers, Bennie, Dent, Herbert, Willard, and Cooper.

Mrs. Wooten is survived by four children, Janice McLendon and husband Gene of the New Branch Community, Linda Wooten Webber and husband James of Lyons, Russell Wooten and wife Suzie of Cedar Crossing, and Marian Griffis and husband Melvin of Milledgeville; one sister, Sammie Raper and husband Charles of Young Harris; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, June 12th at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Guy Wooten and Pastor Jimmy Bargeron officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cedar Crossing Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
