Tammy Lee Johnson, age 48, of Ailey, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at her home, after a sudden illness. She was a native of Florida, and grew up in the Tampa, Florida area. She lived in Maryland and North Carolina for several years, and moved to Montgomery County fifteen years ago. She was preceded in death by her father, Horace Clemmons.

Tammy is survived by one son, Austin M. Burnette of Waynesville, North Carolina; her mother, Barbara Brill “B.J.” Cooper of Clyde, North Carolina; one sister, Sherri Griffin of Miami, Florida; two nieces; and three special friends, John E. “Buddy” Galbreath of Ailey, Tammy Nelson of Vidalia, and Gregg Craft of Ailey.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sweet Onion Animal Protection Society, P.O. Box 210, Vidalia GA 30475.

A private memorial service will be held later.
