Lyons,
Mrs. Sheron “Sissy” Stevens-Freeman, age 74, of Lyons, died Sunday, October 7, 2018, in Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a native of Springfield, Ohio; living many years in Reidsville, and most of her life in Toombs County. She worked at Georgia Machine, Dudley Sports, Oxford Industries, and Georgia High Tech. Sheron was a member of Cornerstone Church of Lyons and was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Freeman; her parents, Russell Ray Stevens, Sr. and Marjorie Jones Stevens; one brother, Russell R. Stevens, Jr., and her beloved cat, Squirkey.
Sheron is survived by her fiancé, Steve Wilkes of Higgston; Steve’s daughter, Shelly Pruitt and husband Eric of Lyons; their children, Chloe, Gia, Summer, and Easton; Steve’s son, Ken Wilkes of Lyons; one brother, Keith A. Stevens and fiancé Karen of Rome; one sister, Renee I. Stevens of Vidalia; stepsons, Charles Freeman and David Freeman and their children; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets, Tippy, Benji, Molly, and Pooh-Bear.
The funeral service will be held Friday, October 12th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
