Vidalia,

Mrs. Shelia Wilson, age 49, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017, in St. Joseph’s/Candler Medical Center in Savannah, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Savannah, lived Roanoke, Alabama for twenty years, and was a 1986 graduate of Handley High School in Roanoke and also played in the band.  She moved to Toombs County in 1993, worked at Trane in Vidalia for several years, and was a member of the Blockers Chapel Church.  She was preceded in death by a daughter Meagan Short.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband of sixteen years, Chris Wilson of Vidalia; three children, Brianne Davis and husband Justin of Lyons, Skylar Wilson and wife Jasmine, and Alexis Cox, all of Vidalia; her parents Bobby and Kaye Stephens; three brothers, Lesley Stephens and wife Dana of Valdosta, Jonathan Stephens and wife Michelle of Vidalia, and Brett Stephens and wife Brittany of Reidsville; one grandson, Christian Wilson II of Vidalia; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral service will be held Friday, September 8th at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Albert White officiating.  Burial will follow in the Snow Hill Community Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00.
