Savanna DeLaney “Vanna” Loper, age 18, of Waynesboro, died Saturday, March 16, 2019, from injuries received from an ATV accident. She was born in Vidalia and lived there until moving to Waynesboro in 2010. She was a senior at Burke County High School where she played Girl’s Varsity Softball. She was Baptist by faith.
“Vanna” is survived by her mother, Erin Loper of Waynesboro; her father, Cyrus M. Loper of Vidalia; one brother, Sawyer Loper of Waynesboro; maternal grandparents, Gary and Debra Lewis of Lyons; paternal grandmother, Sharon Loper of Pensacola Beach, Florida; maternal grandparents, Henry and Anne Loper of Sneads, Florida; other grandparents, Wade and Irene Hathcock of Lyons and Jimmy and Phyllis Harbin of Sparta; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, softball sisters, friends and the love of her life, Houston Copeland of Waynesboro.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in the Burke County Auditorium in Waynesboro. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Lyons City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 and in the Burke County Auditorium on Saturday morning from 9:00 until just prior to the service.
