Sara (O'Brien) Daniel

Mrs. Sara O’Brien Daniel, age 90, of the Long Pond Community, died Sunday, November 10, 2019, at her daughter’s home, after an extended illness.  She was born in Appling County and lived most of her life in Montgomery County.  She was a graduate of Brewton-Parker High School and attended Brewton-Parker College.  She was a homemaker and was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband James Schley Daniel; two children, James Lee “Jim” Daniel and Helen Marie Daniel Piedra; parents, Herbert Lee O’Brien, Sr. and Sara Eunice Tillman O’Brien; one brother, Herbert Lee O’Brien II; and a son-in-law, Clinton White.

Mrs. Daniel is survived by three daughters, Carol Ann White of Laurens County, Rita Curl and husband Trawick of Long Pond, and Irene Rodriguez of Farmville, Virginia; ten grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 12th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Robbie Fowler officiating.  Burial will follow in the Long Pond Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
