Lyons,
Mr. Russell E. Youmans, age 70, of Lyons, died January 5, 2019 at Meadows Health in Vidalia, after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident and retired as a truck driver. Russell was Baptist by faith, loved hunting and fishing, and served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Elouise Youmans; two sisters, Shirlene Ansley and MaryAnn Thompson.
Mr. Youmans is survived by one son, Wesly Youmans and wife Stacy of Winder; one daughter, Wendy Bright and husband Shane of Glenwood; four siblings, C.M. Youmans and wife, Frances; Marge Faircloth; Wayne Youmans and wife Mary all of Lyons, and Teresa Lindsey and husband Mickey of Oak Park; four grandchildren, Danvon Bright, Lillian Bright, Sierra Youmans, and Madie Youmans; and a very special friend, Ann Medders of Lyons.
The memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 9th at 3:00 p.m. at the Lower Corinth Freewill Baptist Church with Mr. Harold Milligan officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mount Zion Cemetery at a later date.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
