Memories of a Lifetime of Love
Mr. Rudolph Williford, age 79, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in the Landmark Hospital in Savannah, after a brief illness. He was a native of Oak Park, was a 1956 graduate of Oak Park High School, and has lived in Vidalia since 1967. He retired from Edwin I. Hatch Plant after thirty-six years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served one year in Germany. He attended Blockers Chapel Church and was a former member of the Pendleton Springs Community Church in Normantown. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Annie Mae Lumley Williford; four brothers, R.L. Williford, twin brothers, Otis and Ottis Williford, and Don Williford; and two sisters, Ruth Williford Hall and an infant sister, Carolyn Williford.
Mr. Williford is survived by two children, Kay Williford Hutley and husband Jonathan, and Keith Williford, all of Vidalia; one sister, Margrette Williford Foskey of Oak Park; three brothers, Ray Williford and wife Faye of Jacksonville, Florida, Bobby Williford and wife Jackie of Jesup, and Aubrey Williford and wife Shirley of Ft. Myers, Florida; three grandchildren, Evan Williford, McKenzie Williford, and Grayson Sellers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 10th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Albert White officiating. Burial will follow in the Findley Cemetery near Oak Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
