Mr. Robert “Bob” Paxson, age 56, of Lyons, died Monday, September 23, 2019, in Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, after a sudden illness. He was born in Mountain View, California, as a child moved to Doylestown, Pennsylvania where he lived for many years and was co-owner of Jim Story Roofing. He moved to Lyons in 1989, was maintenance manager at Shoney’s Inn, and was a cook at Jumping Jacks in Lyons and currently a cook at Roxy’s Diner in Lyons. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Paxson; and his parents, Robert Frank Paxson and Nancy Elizabeth Walton Paxson.
Bob is survived by three siblings, Deborah “Dee Dee” Paxson, Tim Hayden, both of Vidalia, and Anita Guerra of Fitzgerald; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 27th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
