Cedar Crossing Community,
Mr. James Randall “Randy” Taylor, age 56, of the Cedar Crossing Community, died Saturday, July 13, 2019 in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, after a sudden illness. He was a native of Toombs County and lived in Cedar Crossing most of his life. He was a cattle farmer most of his life, and worked with Amercord and Trane for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a loving husband, father, son and uncle. He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Taylor; and a brother, Edwin “Pebo” Taylor.
Randy is survived by his wife, April Renee Newham Taylor; two children, Melissa Ann “Missy” Taylor of Cedar Crossing, and James Lamar “Jamie” Taylor of Cedar Crossing; his mother, Florence McKuen Taylor of Cedar Crossing; one brother, Benjie Taylor and wife Alexa of Cedar Crossing; one sister, Melinda Taylor Fordham of the Rock Springs Community; four nephews and one niece.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 17th, at 11:00 a.m. in the South Thompson Baptist Church with Pastor B.L. Horne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
