Patricia (Adams) Woods

Patricia Adams Woods, age 66, of Vidalia, died Thursday, September 13, 2018, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Toombs County, a graduate of Vidalia High School, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro in 1976.  She was a registered nurse, and worked for Meadows Health, several local home health agencies, and retired from the State of Georgia Public Health.  She was Baptist by faith, was an avid reader, home decorator, and enjoyed spending time with her family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Estus Adams and Billie Grace Richardson Adams.

Patricia is survived by two children, Kathy Lundy and husband Allen of Lyons, and Clay Woods and wife Carla of Baxley; one sister, Marie Tate of Athens; two brothers, Michael Adams and wife Jennifer, and Shannon Adams and wife Lisa, all of Nashville, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Hailey Copeland and husband Ryan, Kevin Woods and wife Jessica, Chase Durrence, Coral Durrence, Gabe Woods, and Mason Woods; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 15th at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 until 7:00.
