Ollie Miller (Williamson) Mixon

Mrs. Ollie Mixon, age 90, of Vidalia, died Sunday, May 27, 2018, in Meadows Health in Vidalia.  She was a native of Toombs County, and lived in Vidalia most of her life.  She retired from Altamaha Electrical Membership Corporation in Lyons after many years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia and the Winsome Sunday School Class.  She volunteered as an auxilian at Meadows Health for more than forty years.  She enjoyed her weekly bridge playing and traveling.  She was preceded in death by two husbands, James Robert Miller and Fred Mixon; parents, Hershel Williamson and Lavert Hall Dickerson; and a sister, Louise Lynn.

Mrs. Mixon is survived by one daughter, Patricia Miller Wann and husband James Creekmore Wann of Tybee Island and Columbia County, New York; one grandson, Jesse James Wann and wife Lucy Boyle; one great-granddaughter, Eloise Jane Wann, all of Brooklyn, New York; four-legged grandchildren, Ziggy, Zazou, Mister Topper, and Gracie Wann; one niece, Connie Morris and husband Charles of Jacksonville, Florida, their children, Julie, George and Susan, and numerous cousins.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 30th at 3:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church Historical Sanctuary of Vidalia with Reverend Don Moye and Reverend Denise Vaughn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00.
