Monica “Cricket” Beckum, age 52, of Lyons, died Friday, July 20, 2018, in Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, after a sudden illness.  She was a native of Toombs County, and lived in Lyons most of her life.  She worked with Claxton Poultry in Quality Assurance, was Pentecostal by faith, and she enjoyed cooking.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Peggy Williamson Beckum.

“Cricket” is survived by two sons, Skyler Beckum and Jedi Beckum, both of Statesboro; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 24th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend David Knight officiating.  Burial will follow in the Williamson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 until just prior to the service.
