Lyons,
Mrs. Minnie Weston Corbin, age 71, of the New Branch Community, died Tuesday, March 5, 2019, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a native of Dodge County, later moved to Screven County and graduated from Sylvania High School in 1965. She moved to Toombs County in 1965, worked at Oxford Industries in Lyons and at Federal Pacific for many years. She enjoyed reading, riding motorcycles, camping at the river, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve R. Weston and Mary Alice Newberry Weston; and two brothers, Bobby Weston and Ricky Weston.
Mrs. Corbin is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Lucian “Luke” Corbin; one son, Joe Corbin and wife Andrea, all of New Branch; one daughter, Charlene Corbin Thompson and husband James of Lyons; one brother, Stevie Weston of Eastman; two sisters, Linda Kennedy and husband Winton of Glennville, and Starlette Thomas and husband Danny of Macon; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Peggy Corbin; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Ronnie Wilson; five grandchildren, Joe Corbin, Jr. and wife Katie of Lyons, Chase Corbin and wife Heather of Vidalia, Mark Deardorff and wife Cassey of New Branch, Alanis Thompson and Sophia Thompson, both of Lyons; three great-grandchildren, Easton Corbin, Rylee Corbin, and Gatlin Corbin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
