Mrs. Melba Edenfield Mosley, age 83, of the Johnson Corner Community, died Saturday, December 22, 2018, at her home, after an extended illness.  She was a native of the Ohoopee Community, and has lived in Johnson Corner since 1963.  She was a 1953 graduate of Lyons High School, and worked at Globe Manufacturing in Vidalia for many years.  She was a member of the Rocky Creek Baptist Church and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.  Melba enjoyed playing the piano and crafts.  She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Edenfield and Ruby Taylor Edenfield.

Mrs. Mosley is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Preston T. Mosley of Johnson Corner; three children, Glenn Mosley and wife Marsha of the South Thompson Community, Dianne Mosley Craft and husband Darryl of Santa Claus, and Allen Mosley of Seattle, Washington; three sisters, Johnnie Faye Collins and husband J.J. of Miami, Florida, Judy Young and husband Maxwell of Vidalia, and Joanne Sheffield and husband Tex of Bulloch County; four brothers, Harold Edenfield and wife Willene of Darien, Jake Edenfield and wife Terri of Johnson Corner, Billy Edenfield and wife Sylvia of Darien, and Bobby Edenfield and wife Annette of Bulloch County; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, December 24th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
