Vidalia,
Mr. Louis Morris, age 81, of Vidalia, died Monday, November 26, 2018, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness. He was a native of Ludowici, and moved to Vidalia as a child. He was a 1955 graduate of Vidalia High School, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Georgia. He earned a Master’s Degree in Education and a Master’s in Administration from Georgia Southern. He was an educator for forty years, and retired from Sally Meadows Elementary School as principal. He was a U.S. Army veteran, was an avid bowler for many years, and a Georgia Bulldog fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Eddie Lou Morris; and a sister, Patricia Morris Hamilton.
Mr. Morris is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Bobbie Rogers Morris; one daughter, Sandy Morris Calloway and husband Roger; one grandson, Christian Calloway, all of Vidalia; one step-granddaughter, Macy Lewis and husband McKinley; two great-grandchildren, Raelyn Lewis and Dalton Lewis, all of Cobbtown; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 29th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
