Vidalia,
Mrs. Lottie Mae Powell Adams, age 87, of Vidalia, died Thursday, January 25, 2018, in The Oaks Bethany in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Vidalia, retired from Oxford Industries after eighteen years, and from Wal-Mart in the Pharmacy Department after eight years. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Busy Bee Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Adams; parents, Remer and Alta Powell; one sister, Lois Stewart; and two brothers, Remer Ellie Powell, Jr. and John Edward Powell.
Mrs. Adams is survived by two sons, Garry Adams and wife Susan, and Pat Adams and wife Lisa, all of Vidalia; one sister, Doris Swann of Athens; four grandchildren, Whitney Garrett, Sydney Thigpen, Caitlin Adams Moxley, and Nathan Patrick Adams; four great-grandchildren, Stone, Eli, Asher, and Reed; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 28th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
