Ms. Lorraine Scott Napier, age 87, of the Johnson Corner Community, died Sunday, March 24, 2019, at her home, after a brief illness.  She was a native of Hooker, Oklahoma and was a 1947 graduate of LaPorte High School in LaPorte, Indiana.  She lived in Illinois most of her life and moved to Toombs County in 1997.  She was Baptist by faith, and enjoyed playing and watching tennis, and watching baseball and basketball.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard James Scott and Mary Frances Hampstead Scott.

Ms. Napier is survived by two children, Ricky Lynn Napier and Peggy Jo Smith of Illinois; three brothers, Jim Scott of California, Rodney Scott of Gray and formerly of Lyons, and David Linn Scott of Michigan; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews; and longtime friend and caregiver, Tonya Hulett of Johnson Corner.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 27th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Black officiating.  Burial will follow in the Center United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
