Rock Springs Community,

Mrs. Linda Lou O’Neal Evans, age 68, of the Rock Springs Community, died Friday, November 17, 2017, in Meadows Park Health and Rehabilitation in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Toombs County, and lived there most of her life.  She was a licensed cosmetologist, and was a graduate of Swainsboro Tech.  She was a member of the New Corinth Baptist Church, and enjoyed gardening and gospel music.  Linda’s greatest joy was her two grandsons.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Frankie O’Neal.

Mrs. Evans is survived by her husband of fifty years, Curtis Darwin Evans; one son, Kendall Evans and wife Donna; two grandsons, Karson and Kody Evans; one sister, Jackie O’Neal Driskell and husband Andy Barfield; two brothers, Doug O’Neal and Bill O’Neal and wife Della, all of Rock Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 19, 2017, in the Cedar Crossing Baptist Church with Reverend Bob Corley and Pastor Reece Mincey officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sharpe Cemetery near Alston.

The family will receive friends at the Cedar Crossing Baptist Church from 1:30 until just prior to the service.
