Montgomery County,
Linda Elizabeth Wilkes, age 68, of Montgomery County, died Sunday, January 28, 2018, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a native of Montgomery County and lived all of her life in the Taylor Springs Community. She previously worked at Oxford Industries in Vidalia, was a homemaker, and Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, G.C. Wilkes, Sr. and Vennie Phillips Wilkes; two sisters, Dorothy Stewart and Della Mae Tharpe; and two brothers, G.C. Wilkes, Jr. and Marcus Wilkes.
Linda is survived by one daughter, Cathy Wilkes Sikes and husband Cliff of Taylor Springs; two grandchildren, Rainey Sikes and Savannah Sikes; one sister-in-law, Jean Wilkes of Savannah; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 30th at 3:30 p.m. in the Pigeon Springs Cemetery with Pastor Will Jackson and Cliff Sikes officiating.
