Vidalia,

Ms. Linda Dianne Kea, age 74, of Vidalia, died Friday, July 7, 2017, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  She was born and spent most of her life in Vidalia.  She was a 1961 graduate of Vidalia High School, and earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education from Georgia Southern University. She taught Social Studies for many years at Montgomery County High School, where she was chosen twice, 1987 and 1998, as Star Teacher.  She also led the high school chorus and the literary chorus teams to many district wins.  Music was one of her greatest passions throughout her life, and she could always be humming and singing a tune.  She played the piano and organ for many years at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Vidalia and at Ailey Baptist Church.  She loved her animals and her Friday night seafood suppers.  She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Conetha Willis Kea and her brother Russell Kea.

Ms. Kea is survived by her special friend and longtime companion Edro Sapp of the South Thompson Community; her brother, Rooney Kea and wife Shelby of Cedar Crossing; and two nieces, Jennifer Kea of Richmond Hill and Anna Wright and husband Daniel of Cedar Crossing.

The funeral service will be held Monday, July 10th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Ronnie McKenzie and Reverend Joe Aldridge officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 1:30 until just prior to the service.
