Johnson Corner,
Mr. Leroy Williamson, age 75, of Johnson Corner, died Friday, May 18, 2018 at his home after a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, worked as a civil superintendent for several industrial construction companies, and loved anything that had to do with fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Williamson; parents, Lucian and Mary Williamson; one brother, Duke Williamson; and one sister, Patricia Partin.
Mr. Williamson is survived by four children, Maxwell Williamson of Prairieville, Louisiana, Lisa O’Neal and husband Greg, Robert Williamson, and Scott Williamson and wife Mandy all of Johnson Corner; two sisters, Jeanette Taylor of Lyons and Diane Meeks of Highlands, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Heather Williamson, Brittany O’Neal, Cameron Williamson, C.J. Williamson, Chase O’Neal, and Kennedi Williamson; six great-grandchildren, Maxwell Robinson, Alex Pittman, Liam Pittman, Riley Bailey, Bella Williamson, and Ayden Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held Sunday, May 20th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Black officiating. A private family burial will follow in Rocky Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 12:00 until just prior to the service.
