Vidalia,
Mr. Larry Willis, age 68, of Vidalia, died Monday, December 3, 2018 in Meadows Health in Vidalia, after an extended illness. He was a native of Soperton and lived most of his life in the Tampa Bay, Florida area before moving to Vidalia in 1993. He enjoyed singing, playing his guitar, and spending time with his grandchildren. Larry retired as a truck driver, was Baptist by faith, and was preceded in death by his wife of forty-eight years, Sue Willis; parents, Verbie and Clyde Willis; two brothers, Johnny Willis and Joe Willis; and two sisters, Shirley Gladden and Georgia Nell Dees.
Mr. Willis is survived by four children, Martha Willis, Margie Willis Reaves and husband Randy all of Vidalia, Stacey Willis Nichols and husband Nick of Brunswick, and Melissa Willis Cartrette and husband Clint of Statesboro; two sisters, Betty Howell and Veronica Lane both of Lyons; two brothers, Neil Willis and Harold Willis both of Lyons; five grandchildren, Kyle Willis, Matthew Reaves, Laura Cartrette, Lily Nichols, and Emily Cartrette, and several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held Friday, December 7th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
The honorary pallbearers are all of the nieces and nephews.
