Vidalia,
Mr. Larry E. Mullis, age 71, of Vidalia, died Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Meadows Health of Vidalia after an extended illness. He was a native of Tifton, Georgia and moved to Vidalia in 1983. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the Kiwanis Club and First United Methodist Church of Vidalia, where he served as an usher. He started working for Winn-Dixie at the age of seventeen and worked his way to the store manager position in Orlando. Afterwards, he became a buyer and store produce trainer at the Winn-Dixie main office in Jacksonville, Florida. Eventually, he moved to Vidalia and became the district manager, including sixteen supermarkets. Most recently, he was a sales representative for Advantage Sales and Marketing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elie and Mae Mullis and two sisters, Margie Mullis and Diane Greene.
Mr. Mullis is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Rhonda Mullis of Vidalia; two sons, Todd Mullis and wife Laura of Moultrie, and Brent Mullis and wife Monica of Statesboro; and one brother, Buddy Mullis and wife Judy of Longwood, Florida.
The memorial service will be held Thursday, April 5th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend David Blalock and Reverend Jim Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
