Mr. Jimmy E. Lewis, age 86, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, April 8, 2020, in Willow Pond Assisted Living in Statesboro. He was born on Labor Day 1933 in Lyons, he was a graduate of Lyons High School, Middle Georgia College and Georgia State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Subsequent to retiring from Chevrolet Division of General Motors, he served as vice-president of two Atlanta firms and owned a successful sales and management consulting business. Jimmy was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fayetteville and after leaving Illinois, Michigan, Missouri and Wisconsin, he and his wife chose to enjoy their retirement years in Vidalia. He was preceded in death by two sons, Glen Lewis and Stan Lewis; parents, Jewel Van Lewis and Grace Dopson Lewis.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Tracy Lewis of Vidalia; two daughters-in-law, Charlotte Lewis of Atlanta and Kim Lewis of Atlanta; and four grandchildren, James Lewis, Jeremy Lewis, Jay Lewis and Leigh Taylor Lewis.
