Jim Paul Braddock

Mr. Jim Paul Braddock, age 58, of the Cedar Crossing Community, died Wednesday, September 26, 2018, in Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, after complications from surgery.  He was a native of Toombs County, and lived in Cedar Crossing all of his life.  He was a truck driver all his life and worked with Dennis Truck Lines for the past nineteen years.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry D. and Gladys Morris Braddock; one sister, Joyce Patrick; and three brothers, Jack Lane Braddock, Jerry Allen Braddock, and Joe Henry Braddock.

Jim is survived by Lori “Pebbles” Burkett; his former wife, Janet Braddock, both of Cedar Crossing; three children, James Lee “Jamie” Braddock and Trudy of Cedar Crossing, Jennifer Lynn Blakey and husband Josh of Vidalia, and Jessica Lane Kerr and husband Brandon of McRae-Helena; one sister, Judy Manning of Cheyenne, Wyoming; eight grandchildren, Dakota Braddock, Cameron Braddock, Kaleigh Braddock, Reagan Blakey, Wyatt Blakey, Stewart Blakey, Abigail Kerr, and Nikolas Kerr; and several nieces and nephews, including Jason Braddock and wife Angie of Cedar Crossing.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, September 30th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Toole officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hardens Chapel Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
