Vidalia,
Mrs. Jean McNatt Thompson, age 79, of Vidalia, died January 30, 2018, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after a brief illness. She was a native of Toombs County and lived most of her life in Vidalia. She worked with Phillips Pharmacy for more than forty years and was a member of East Gordon Street Baptist Church in Lyons. She was a 1957 graduate of Vidalia Comprehensive High School and attended Brenau University in Gainesville as a Home Economics Major. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Thompson; an infant son; parents, Irma Dekel Harris and Marvin McNatt; two brothers, P.J. McNatt and Jed Harris.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by three children, Kim B. Waters and husband Byron of the Normantown Community; Robert Bass Jr. and wife Robin of Gainesville, and Keith Bass of Vidalia; eight grandchildren, Matthew Waters and wife Michelle, Brad Waters and wife Lily, Brooke Waters, Nick Mosley and wife Lucinda, Heidi Finchman and husband Justin, Leah Bass, Lindsey Stubbs and fiancé Tyler, and Devin Bass; four great-grandchildren, A.J., Cayden, Atara, and Vinny.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Dannie Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
