Memories of a Lifetime of Love
Mrs. Janice Chalker Snellgrove, age 70, of Lyons, died Monday, January 21, 2019 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a native of Ozark, Alabama, lived most of her life in Vidalia, and was a member of Vidalia Baptist Temple. Janice was the owner of Miki’s Gift Shop for several years and loved to paint, sew, and spend time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maxie and Jean Chalker.
Mrs. Snellgrove is survived by her husband, Mickey Snellgrove of Lyons; two daughters, Michelle Hayes and husband Lucky of Lyons, and Melody Hayes and husband Brad of Dublin; two brothers, Danny Chalker of Ozark, Alabama and Mike Chalker and wife Vicki of Dothan, Alabama; five grandchildren, Kasey Hayes, Katie Hayes McLeod and husband Steve, Kara Hayes, Sydney Hayes, and Sophie Hayes; and one great-granddaughter, Haisleigh McLeod.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 24th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Scottie Pitts officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00.
