Vidalia,
Mrs. Inez Taylor Horton, age 73, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, June 18, 2019, in Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Toombs; growing up in the Center Community, and was a 1964 graduate of Lyons High School. She was a graduate of Southeastern Technical College, and soon after went to work there as an administrative assistant where she retired after seventeen years. Previously, Inez worked for Oxford Industries and Lovins Realty for many years. She attended Connection Church, and was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Belinda Joyce Horton; parents, Charlie Duncan Taylor and Lily Maude Wilcher Taylor; and eleven brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Horton is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Charlie F. Horton of Vidalia; three children, Melinda Horton Rawlins and husband Todd of Alston, Robbie Horton Johnson and husband Chris, and Keith Horton and wife Jody, all of Vidalia; one sister, Katie Taylor of Tarrytown; seven grandchildren, Specialist Christopher Matthew Johnson of Ft. Stewart, Chase Rawlins of Pooler, Brianne Horton, Meagan Johnson, Charlie Luke Horton (Kasie), all of Vidalia, Baleigh Rawlins of Alston, and Miranda Horton of Vidalia; and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and cousins.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 22nd at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall with Pastor Billy Shiver officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
