Mr. Henry Cone, age 61, of Lyons, died Sunday, November 5, 2017, at his home, after a sudden illness.  He was a native of Bulloch County, was a 1974 graduate of Statesboro High School, and attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.  Henry apprenticed under his father, and later became a Master Barber.  He was the owner of Cone’s Barber Shop in Vidalia for six years.  He was an active member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Lyons, where he taught the Men’s Sunday School Class, was a member of the choir, and played the piano and organ.  He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Edgar Cone, Sr. and a sister, Bonnie Cone Groover.

Mr. Cone is survived by his wife, Christine Cone of Lyons; four children, Jason Cone and wife Sabrina of Statesboro, Allison Cone Coppage of Charleston, South Carolina, Amanda Cone of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and David Johnson and wife Krista of Cobbtown; his mother, Bonnelle Lee Cone; one brother, John Cone and Charity; one sister, Mary Ann Cone, all of Statesboro; nine grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 8th at 3:00 p.m. in the Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Plowman officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
