Mr. Harold “Turkey” Odom, age 59, of Lyons, died Thursday, January 10, 2019 at his home, after a brief illness. He was a native of Toombs County and spent most of his life in Johnson Corner. “Turkey” was a welder, loved fishing and being outdoors, and spending time with his five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Eunice Odom.
Mr. Odom is survived by one daughter, Casey Odom; one son, Caleb Odom; one brother, Jerry Odom all of Lyons; and one sister, Shonda Williamson and husband Joe of Rackettown; five grandchildren, Khloe LeAnn Odom, Kinslee Grace Odom, Waylon McGowan, Eli Mata, and Roderick McCloud, Jr.; one niece, Tekisha Paul and husband Ben of Rackettown; great nieces and nephew, Gavin, Bella, and Ava.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
